Volunteer prize

The Vrijwilligers Steunpunt Noordwijk recently awarded the volunteer prizes.
The main prize of € 1,000 went to the volunteers who organized the Safety Day.
The Atlantikwall Museum Noordwijk received a prize of € 250 .–.

Weight roof fire control bunker

In the workshop of the firm Haasnoot Bruggen, preparations are being made to weigh the finished part (half) of the roof for the fire control bunker.
The weight appears to be 5,500 kg. That would mean that the entire roof will weigh 11,000 kg.

Book presentation

In the old council chamber of the town hall of Noordwijk, the two authors, with great interest from the mayor of Noordwijk and members of the board and volunteers of the Atlantikwall Museum, gave a presentation about their book “Battery Noordwijk 1940-1945”.
After the opportunity to ask questions, the chairman of the Atlantikwall Museum Noordwijk Foundation, Mr V. Salman, spoke.
The mayor then addressed the writers’ duo and author P. Harff handed the first copy of the book to the mayor.

Migration

At the end of September 2014, the museum on the Bosweg moved to the fire control bunker located more to the north in the dunes.

Presentation of the Nationale Gouden Betonmolen

The Nationale Gouden Betonmolen is a prize of recognition for Foundations, individuals or objects that have played a special role in the world of military heritage in the past year.
This year, the Atlantikwall Museum Noordwijk Foundation is the winner of the Gouden Betonmolen, for the work that has been done on the museum over the past year.
The presentation to the Foundation was done by the winner of the past year, Peter van Heijkoop of the Bunker Conservation Foundation.

The Golden Concrete Mill was awarded with great interest.
